In my previous article of my Pranic Healing Chronicles, I had mentioned a dramatic introduction to Pranic Healing for me as a patient! But that doesn’t mean I embraced it right away. My second tryst with Pranic Healing happened when I went on a holiday to a hill station. I reached the place in the early evening to enjoy the beautiful locale. The next morning when I woke up, I could not walk! Had to be assisted even 10 feet with someone holding me. Plus, I was running a temperature, with a lot of body ache. We immediately returned to the nearest city and made arrangements to fly back home. The next day, I came out of the airport in a wheelchair, and went directly to my family doctor, before even coming home. The doctor suspected a virus, a variant of Chikungunya. Once home, I could not climb stairs, so I had to temporarily shift downstairs. The fever did not abate. By now, I had already had experience getting Pranic Healing treatment. I contacted the friend who had first told me about Pranic Healing, and she referred me to someone who could even do Distance Healing for me. This was a new concept to me, that I didn’t even have to meet the person in order to get healed. In the case of a virus, this is a bonus, because there is no chance of spreading the infection via direct contact. Sure enough, with Pranic Healing (done via Distance Healing) my fever reduced very soon, and within a few days I was able to climb stairs again. The story does not end here though. One of the after effects of this virus was loss of flexibility in my joints! I could not open doorknobs, and I had a noticeable limp. I could drive, but after I parked somewhere, I was hobbling here and there, that too gingerly. As my luck would have it, that was the time of a family situation where I actually had to be able to go around a lot, to get certain things done. My condition was so bad, even my Yoga instructor advised me to mostly just sit in the corner and observe the class, because I couldn’t do most of the poses I was used to doing. I continued Pranic Healing treatment. Within a month or two of treatment, my full flexibility returned with no trace of any sign of loss of movement. I was now able to pariticipate in my Yoga Class properly! Did this induce me to learn Pranic Healing? Not yet. It would be only a year and half later that I would venture to learn Pranic Healing myself. It had not occurred to me then that I was meant to learn it myself. At that point, it was just something that helped me recover in two significant ailments.
