What a privilege it is to be able to serve.

It has been my privilege to be a volunteer with MCKS Food For the Hungry Foundation, Karnataka for several years. I am sharing here the letter that went out recently to all the donors, highlighting the work done from the start of pandemic to July 2021. It is a true privilege to be able to be a small part of this effort that has come from the joint efforts of so many institutions and NGOs. Here is the mail and video link: "As we highlight our work in the medical field over 2020 and 2021, we would like to first thank the Healthcare workers and especially key NGOs such as Rotary Midtown, Ramana Maharishi Trust, HBS Mercy Mission, Surya Kirana Foundation, Kidwai, KIMS, Needy Heart Foundation, Sri Sringeri Trust, KRBAAS, Sanman Society and Trinity Care Foundation whom we worked hand in hand with to ensure we could reach out to and help as many people as possible. This pandemic, especially from April 2021, where the Foundation spent more in a few months in relief than it does in almost a year, was bigger than any one NGO and it took a collective effort across several NGOs in Karnataka as well as the Honorable Government of Karnataka to ensure help came in time. The video below showcases some of our efforts in the medical field from April 2020 to July 2021. From providing physiotherapy equipment for rehabilitation and critical medical equipment such as cardiac monitors, biphasic defibrillators, ECG machines , oxygen cylinders, ICU beds, motorized beds and stretchers, to even providing an ambulance, we have tried our best to play our part. Additionally we have continued our usual medical support by sponsoring 480 dialysis treatments, 40 eye surgeries, cancer treatments as well as medicines to the tune of Rs.12 to 15 Lakhs per year. https://youtu.be/3jVzrFV5GSE We would like to thank all our volunteers, partners, and especially our donors for the continued team work, communication, generosity and dedication displayed during these trying times."
